Tim's tags- February, 2013

I made a few substitutions on my version of this month's tag but had a good time making it. I got last month's done today too. Yeah. Feels good to be caught up.

Tim's Tags- January 2013

Better late than never! I finally got a chance to make the tag from last month today. I had a plan as I needed to get my tip-in pages done for my partner also, so I decided to create my page and then add my tags.

Sympathy Card Class

This was a card class I took at Happy Stamper in Eau Claire called Sympathy Cards. I never seen to have the inspiration to make sympathy cards. I guess you just don't feel it if someone close enough to you passes to create a card for it, so I decided to take this class and hope to make up a bunch of these and have them on hand. Loving these Memory Box dies!!!

Card class

This was a class I took up at Picture This in Eau Claire with my friend, LeAnn Jacobs. She called it Dragonfly Die-light. We got to take home the dragonfly die after the class. Gorgeous die with lots of detail. Fun class!
I'm back! Can't believe it's been that long since I've blogged. So I will play catch up. Here's my Christmas cards I sent out this Christmas. I made 65 of them and the others got, gasp, store-bought. I know, right! These were a lot of steps to create, but I pretty much assembly-line them when I do my cards for Christmas every year. Working six days a week forever, doesn't leave a lot of tiem and anyone whao has been in the line at the post office during the holiday season knows how tired I am when i get home at night after waiting on all of them every day. So I have to do a step at a time pretty much.

I finally had time to sit down and work on my pages for this month's Tip-In page partner. Linda's theme was Asian. i had a good time with this theme. I used some designer paper and blended some reds and oranges in Distress inks onto it, then embossed the Asian stamp images onto them. I stamped onto shrink plastic and punched holes in it for an embellishment and stamped on some bamboo dominoes for another. i cut some Oriental beads from my stash in half and after adding the gold threads, glued them down with glossy accents. Mounted it all onto red Bazzill cardstock and added the fibers. I hope she likes it and it goes well with her other pages.

Happy Birthday AJ

My grandson AJ, is celebrating his golden birthday with a party here tomorrow.. He turned 8 on the 8th so I wanted to get him something extra special. It gets harder all the time with kids and they have so much stuff already that I didn't want to get him small stuff, so I made sure he would be OK with getting something REALLY cool that he REALLY wants and it would be for Christmas too. He said as long as it's big! Well, ever since I got his sister a Kindle-Fire he always wants to play with it or take mine, so I got him his own along with a charger, a protective skin for the screen, and a leather case/stand. He will be over the moon. I wrapped it inside a box, inside a big box, so it is BIG. On the outside box I used birthday paper and Christmas on the inside two. He only asked for Lego's so I made his card with that in mind. I hope it looks like Lego's to him. Can't wait to see his expression!!! I charged it up last night and downloaded some of his favorite app's onto it.

And finally to finish off the event, the one and only Jennifer McGuire who uses products from all of the other classes kits and combines th...
