CTMH- May gathering

We had our monthly stamping gathering for our local club last week at Sandra's home. These are the cards I made up for them and they all go

t to make the You Inspire Me card. I used a lot of Juniper and blush cardstock and inks for them. I used two of the Artbooking overlays as well as the Ariana paper for the background on one and then many scraps for the other as well as some of our gorgeous glitter cardstock! Love that stuff! The girls all really liked them and had a good time as we always do getting together and creating! Also featured the may Stamp of the Month.

CCC3- number 3

Well, I never did get my project finished for the second challenge, but here is what I made for the Faux Tea Roses, found on page 65 of Tim's book, volume 3. They have a great shop.i had a good time making this and used Wendy's embossing paste colored with Fired Brick Distress re-inker for my bricks through her stencil. Wow, what fun that is! And what results! I die cut some greenery from a couple of my favorite leaf dies I have had forever and used some chocolate leaf ribbon I bought a couple years ago and have been hoarding. Compendium of Curiosities III

To join in the challenge, go to Linda's blog here. i have been feeding and watching my feathered friends return from the horrible long Wisconsin winter we endured this year. I kept my tag very simple so as not to cover up the technique too much and had to use the bird and nest on it. I used a fw of Wendy's Archival colors also along with my distress.

May Day

We had so much fun creating these little door-hangers at the gathering, that I got busy and made a bunch of them for the grandkids to go and hang on doors and run. They had a blast! Three houses caught us in the act, but we got away with the rest of them. LOL

April's gathering

I am so behind all the time! Here are the cards I made up for Jacki's gathering in April. For the make and take, we made a May basket to hang on a door with a seed packet in it. I got the idea from a fellow CTMH blogger. (Susan, I think, but can't remember for sure) Used the SOTM Bubble Talk and lots of scraps to make the card. i love the feather stamp set so this one was a lot of fun.

Mini album share

Just wanted to share the mini albums I made up for each of us four sisters using the pictures from last year's Annual Barney Sisters Trip. I waited until a week before we were going this year to start them, of course! Why do I pressure myself so!!! They were a fun project to make. On each of them I used pictures of all of us but more focus on whichever girl they were for. After I finished the covers wouldn't stay closed so I had to make a couple changes and add the little frame to the front to cover the adhesive tore my paper and added the sun die-cut to the inside to cover it. i used papers from the Surf's Up collection. Check out who we met in the hot tub the first night! World famous fighters Luke Newman and Bola! They felt pretty safe haging oput with us American grandmas who didn't recognize them. LOL

March meeting cards

I am just now getting around to posting the cards from last month's gathering at Nancy's house. She loved the unicorn hostess set so I had to use that and of course the stamp of the month set was used on the make and take. I used another hostess set as well.
