OWSE challenges

I have been trying to play along with the many challenges over at the Oulaw Women's Scrapbook Emporium yahoo group as much as I can and so far I have been very lucky and have won several times already! Great goody packages too! So here are my teo latest entires. One is Buttons Challenge and the other was Currogated Cardboard tag. I used my Distress Stains on the tag and sprayed the die cut corugated with Perfect Pearls mists to get the shimmer.i added tim's spinners and long attachers for the body of the butterflies.On the buttons one, I decided to make a 4 x 4 since I never seem to try these. I made a sun from a scalloped circle punch and trimmed it and added the buttons as my rays. Covered the coaster in pattern paper and sanded the corners. Made a tiny pinwheel flower with a scalloped square punch and double sided paper and added a button to that. twisted a piece of ribbon for the stem and tied a know in another tiny piece for the leaves. Stamped the verse. Voila!

Distressed tag Challenge for OWSE

As long as I had everything out  for my last tag for Linda's GM challenge and the SSSS challenge, I knocked off a challenge on Outlaw Womens scrapbook Emporium as well for Distressed tag. I used another one of my new LaBlanche stampes for this. I love those stamps!

Grungy Monday #10/ SSSS- Show Us a Tag

This week Linda's  Grungy Monday Challenge is Distress Ink-o-Rama and the SSSS challenge is Show Us a Tag, so easy-peasy to do a combo again. since I am addicted to Distress Inks, and I love to make tags, how can I go wrong this week! I used Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick, Stormy Sky, and Ancient Paper inks for my tag with a blending tool for the background. I then stamped my new LaBlanche image with Coffee Archival ink. Distressed the edges with Tim's tool and then blended the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Added some Tissue tape at the top and blended some of the inks on there. I used seam binding that I sprayed with Colorwash and then the new Perfect Pearls sprays after that for my fiber. Added three brads at bottom and called it good. The image is really my focaus so didn't need to embellish any further.

December Tags-m Day #12-2008

We have completed the first two years of Tim's Twelve Tags now and are halfway through this challenge. This week was another fun one. I do have the ghost clocks SOMEWHERE but have no clue where, so I had to improvise and time was short so I hjust added a cute Christmas embellishment I had in my stash. I love this Santa stamp anyway, so was an easy choice for this tag. Join us and add your link below.

December tags-Day #11, 2008

I can't believe we are nearly done with the second year of tags already in this little weekly challenge. It has been fun to go back and make them all and try all the techniques again. Don't look too closely, or you will see that I burned my fragments and melted them a little bit on the bottoms. LOL They still turned out pretty good. I olove that little splatter brush and the results it gives! Play along and use the InLinkz at the bottom to link your work to share with us all.

Chotski pins

Over at the All Things Tim Yahoo Group, the vendor of the month for May was Red Lead. Theyt sell a lot of really great products and their stamps are wonderful. They decided to hold a Chotski pin swap where we would make a pin to trade one for one. I sent mine off to them a couple of days ago and can't wait to see what I get back. I made one for myself too and will be making more of these later. I went with a Patriotic theme since we are nearing July. I had not made charms before so used purchased ones except the shrink plastic one I added to each of these.

Grungy Monday #9/ SSSS- Show Us Your Favorite Stamp

Going for another twofer this week with my Grungy Monday #9 and using my favorite stamp set for SSSS challenge this week, Show us your favorite stamp. We went back to Tim's Christmas Tags to 2007 for this one called Shabby Chic. I used my favorite set by Oxford Impressions and am really happy with m,y results. I usually have a very hard time removing the paint from my image, but nailed it this time. I used Terra Cotta, Butterscotch, and Sunshine Yellow dabbbers for mine. I edged the whiole tag with Terra Cotta dabber when done. Overstamped in Archival Black for the flying bird, music notes, and tracks. You can join in on Linda's blog and the SSSS blog.
