This week's CCC was found on page 51 of Tim's new book, called Monoprinting. I hated to cover up the gorgeous background with anything. I will be making more of these for sure. I die cut gold emtallic cardstock for the birdcage and old blue jeans for the bird. Added a Black Diamond distress stickle eye and stripes on wings for the bird.

In my Everything Wendy Vecchi yahoo group, we are doing a Coloborative (sp.?)Chaos tag swap. We each got assigned a tag size and orientation and will put them together onto our own canvas when swapped. I have mine done and sent them out in today's mail to our lovely hostess Susan. i put in an online order today for several canvas packs so I will be ready to assemble when mine arrive. Still working on assembling my tags for the Tim Holtz group swap but it's coming along. The coloring on the group shot is funky looking for some reason, but they are Victorian Velvet distress ink for the most part.

Week Two on the CCC; this week page 62, Basic Fragments. i am of course using the same shape as before because I will be binding all of mine together when done. I used an old page of sheet music, distress inks, direct to paper in three colors, then spritzed with water and let dry for the background. After dry, I did use the blending tool and pumice stone to add some depth around the edges. Flourish is Tim's new die and grungepaper painted with dabbers.

I saw a great card tutorial on Michlelle Zindorf's blog a couple of weeks ago and printed it so I could try to duplicate it in a different size. I am quite proud of how it turned out! I made it into a father's Day card for my father-in-law. I even made the envelope from patterned paper. I have never made one before. Used my handy kit from HSN I just had to have and never opened before now. It worked so slick. I will be using that again! Cut the letters and brackets with my Cricut Expressions. My brayering needs work. I took her class in Buffalo, MN. last year but I am very rusty and you can see lines in mine but overall, I really liked the card.

Here are the latest Name atcs I finally got done for the Name Swap on my atc's are us yahoo group. I hope they like them. I bought this crossword stamp to use on them. I tried to mix up the fonts a bit to add some interest.

My blog-buddy Linda over at Studio L3 has a challenge on her blog to try out ALL of the techniques in the King's, oh I mean Tim's new book,"Compendium of Curiositites". Of course, she has chosen not to do them in order, but will choose the technique and post on Monday's. We then have all week to try it out and post it and link it to her blog for prizes. How fun is that! Not only are we learning and trying new things, but we might even win something. So then Gloria, my good friend and cruising buddy, listmom of the All Things Tim group decided to do a challenge there to win even more goodies! It doesn't get any better than this! You don't have to do every challenge, just fit it in when you can, so buy the book and get inky! I will be posting all of mine here and will refer to them as the "CCC" from now on. I am going to make mine into a little booklet so am keeping them simple and labelling the backs of the pages with the technique, page number, and colors used to refer to later. I cut the edges with one of Tim's On The Edge dies and will use my Bind It All when completed.

Remember the mini banners I made for my Everything Wendy Vecchi group? Well, I finally had time to string the ones I received in the swap together to form my banner. I draped it up by ceiling under my wodden letters "Create". I think I like it there.

My good friend Diana came a couple days ago to play in the studio and we decided to get out our instructional dvd for the cricut expression since neither of us ever watched it and see what we could learn. We warched it and we played quite a bit with it and a couple of our new cartidges. I got out some of the vinyl I bought several months ago and loaded it in and used Diana's Pagoda cartridge to decorate up my Expression machine. Only used a piece of blue vinyl so would look better if I weren't so CHEAP! LOL I did get out some orange and cut the dragon. Ooooooh the possibilities I can see now!

I decided my Twinchies were still missing something, so I added a litle piece of black trim on the right edge of each of them. I like them much better now. Can't do anything else with them, as I have already sent them to Lori yesterday.

I finally had time to sit down and try my hand at making Twinchies today, so I signed up for the 6-for-6 swap going on now in my Everything Wendy Vecchi yahoo group. I have not made these before and it was kind of a challenge but here they are. I may add some trim to the side if I can find some narrow enough in my stash after the rock candy stickles is dry. Will have to see what i can come up with.

Well, I finally have my swaps ready to go postal for my group across the pond. I have just not had time to play lately or post. Life gets crazy busy sometimes! Here are the three atcs I am mailing out for this group tomorrow. Anything goes, Under Lock and Key, and Colored Pencils. I hope the gals that receive them will like them.
