Close To My Heart

I don't even think I have announced that I signed up to be a Close to my Heart consultant last fall! I didn't start anything with it until now as I still belonged to a monthly club. Anyway, I am starting with a monthly club with seven members and they will rotate being the hostess and getting the benefits every month. What I am doing is making two projects at the meeting and giving them to the hostess and then making a more simple one and having them all make that as the make and take for the night. I took my granddaughter, Victoria with me as my assistant this time and we all had a great time. Here are the cards from the night. I tried to make several variations from the same stamp set to show them how versatile one set can be.

Tip-In pages

So I had to hurry and get my pages done this time as we are finally going on the first ever "Barney-sister" girl trip. My three sisters and I are going to sunny Florida for a few days, then 3 days in the Bahamas, and then 3 more days in Florida, so had to get them ready to mail before I leave on the 18th and won't be home until the 28th. I made myself a page for my book as well as Linda's. She prefers hers to be on one page with both sides done where I prefer mine to be a double page spread to just glue into my book. I sure hope Linda likes them.

Tim's tags- February, 2013

I made a few substitutions on my version of this month's tag but had a good time making it. I got last month's done today too. Yeah. Feels good to be caught up.

Tim's Tags- January 2013

Better late than never! I finally got a chance to make the tag from last month today. I had a plan as I needed to get my tip-in pages done for my partner also, so I decided to create my page and then add my tags.

Sympathy Card Class

This was a card class I took at Happy Stamper in Eau Claire called Sympathy Cards. I never seen to have the inspiration to make sympathy cards. I guess you just don't feel it if someone close enough to you passes to create a card for it, so I decided to take this class and hope to make up a bunch of these and have them on hand. Loving these Memory Box dies!!!

Card class

This was a class I took up at Picture This in Eau Claire with my friend, LeAnn Jacobs. She called it Dragonfly Die-light. We got to take home the dragonfly die after the class. Gorgeous die with lots of detail. Fun class!
I'm back! Can't believe it's been that long since I've blogged. So I will play catch up. Here's my Christmas cards I sent out this Christmas. I made 65 of them and the others got, gasp, store-bought. I know, right! These were a lot of steps to create, but I pretty much assembly-line them when I do my cards for Christmas every year. Working six days a week forever, doesn't leave a lot of tiem and anyone whao has been in the line at the post office during the holiday season knows how tired I am when i get home at night after waiting on all of them every day. So I have to do a step at a time pretty much.
