I finally made my first altered canvas! What fun! I used an atc-sized canvas from Dick Blick Arts, crackle paints, grungeboard, stickles, distress inks, mixed up a spray of distress ink refill, water, and perfect pearls in a mini mister and sprayed the wings with that, and a word brad. I think that is about all I used. Ranger all the way! I don't know why I waited so long to try it. It was soooo easy and fast other than waiting for the paint to dry and crackle. It didn't crack a lot, so next time I need to go thicker on the paint.
I also used gold metallic paint dabber on the edges. This is for a dear friend of mine , Pat, on one of my groups as she won the Winner Takes All contest for January, so this is what I am sending her. She is so sweet and selfless and is always so giving to everyone in the group, so I want to do a little extra for her this time. I hope she likes it!

Well, I finally dug out my melting pot and got out my beeswax pellets and played. I keep seeing such beautiful creations made with them that I decided it's time to try it. I am in a round-robin journal swap and it is heart-shaped with removable pages with the theme of Romance. We each make eight pages, both sides, then keep one and send one to the other seven players and put your book back together as they arrive. We will all be decorating our own covers as well. I haven't done my covers yet but here are my front and back pages for all the players. They were fun to make and I think I'm going to do my covers with beeswax collage as well. hope they all like them!

Here's an atc I made for a Tim Holtz swap on my atc group and also on all Things Tim group.I really love these atc-sized stamps and am so glad he came out with them. I have all of them! Can't pick a favorite, but I really love the new Christmas ones with the old-fashioned Santa. Too many great ones to just choose one though.

Here are a couple of atc's I made for ATC's'R'Us for the Winner takes all for this month and she chose cardinals as the category. I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I sent her both of them! Which one do you like best?

Here are my Inchie and ATC contributions for this month to the Inchies and ATC's yahoo group I belong to. Inchies were Letter A, so I made Angels, and the atc's had to be Jesters and Jokers. I was stuck on this one and came up with these. Backgrounds are another TJ technique, Simple Green Spritz. So easy and fun!

I finally tried out "Torn Frames" from the newest Technique Junkies newsletter and made these two atcs using them. I used the Posh Impressions Rainbow Sponge on glossy for the backgrounds. I need more practice at this, but I think it's going to be fun!
