Went to my little great-niece Avery's first birthday party yesterday so needed a quick card for her. Threw this one together quickly and headed to the park along the river. What a beautiful breeze there was there and thank goodness as it was a smoldering 95 degrees out! They had a great turnout and the food was awesome!

We are doing a Mini-Banner Swap in my Everything Wendy Vecchi yahoo group. It's a six for six swap so of course I made seven so I could keep one of my own . I used the new distress ink colors on my banners and all Wendy stamps. I used Maya Road chipboard pieces for the hangers, dressforms, scissors, safety pin, and spool and needle. I painted them all with black paint dabbers and then used stickles on them other than the dressforms. I stamped those with one of Wendy's background stamps. For the dresses, I used Wendy's stamp and laid it down and placed the velvet on it and roned it with a very hot iron quickly and then trimmed around it, tied a ribbon around it for a belt, and added a decorative pin from Maya Road stash. Used jump rings through eyelets for dangling the scissors on the swaps and the spool and needle on mine. I ran out of scissors. I also had to use a safety pin to hang my dress as I only had 6 hangers too. I glues on a few tiny buttons and added the eyelets to thread ribbon through to make our banners strung onto the wall when we get them all back. These were a fun project to work on. I still struggle with my Wendy stuff and I don't know why???
Been making some clocks for gifts using cd cases. These are turning out pretty cool. Made one for myself, one for my Mom for Mother's Day, and one for my bestie Earlene's birthday present so far. Will probably make more of them after I get some more clock kits. Fun to do and can use mostly scraps of leftover patterned papers. That is, if you have scraps you could; some of us never use any, just hoard it cuz it's too pretty to cut. LOL At least I am using some of it now.

I have been trying to get my studio straightened up and organized while on vacation this week, but not making a lot of progress. Some, not enough....Had to take a break and get busy with my eleven tags for the Chaos swap I joined on the All Things Tim group. We signed up into three groups of eleven and when done, will get all eleven tags from our groups of various sizes and a canvas to decorate and hang them on. Can't wait to have them all here to make mine up. I used all new colors of distress inks and Tim's faux batik technique on mine along with a new set of Tim stamps, filmstrip ribbon, gears, spinners, long fasteners and the tiny attacher.
