Art Journalling

At last I am going to be brave enough to try my hand at this "art journalling" thing everyone else seems to do so naturally. I have wanted to try it for a long time, but just didn't know where to start or how, so tonight, I just went to my studio and sat down with my book and started adding inks, oaints, and gesso. I sprayed and sponged and dabbed and scraped and used stencils and stamps. I then die-cut one of Tim's clocks from chipboard and rubbed it black with distress ink and then covered it in clear UTEE and heated and repeated twice more. Glued it down with Ranger's glossy accents and here's my challenge for the journalling club at OWSE for New Year's Resolutions, Make time for art is my resolution covered here. It was fun and didn't take much time at all. Finally got to use a few of those cool stencils/templates I collected.

love these journal pages. Making time for our art is SO important. I know for me it makes a huge difference in my depression, stress levels and state of mind.

Hi Kathy. You've got more guts than I do! I'm still whimping out about trying art journaling! Maybe someday I'll work up the courage. Yours is wonderful! <3 Candy

You have more guts than me, too. I wouldn't even know what to put on a blog, and despite a few tries, can't seem to get going on art journaling. Your blog looks great.
