CTMH site
I just figured out how to use the EZ-invite feature on my Close To My heart site. From there you can shop and place your order and if you choose to join a particular gathering, the hostess will get credit towards their gathering and it will ship directly to you. How slick is that!Just posting a link for my online business site. You can shop from there anytime and if you choose to join by clicking on that button, credit will be given to whatever gathering you joined. Currently it is for Hilarie for Oct. 19th. Check it out!!! http://kmeddy.ctmh.com/Default.aspx

Creative Chemistry II- Day #5
well, I have all of the examples finished up now. I don't really know what went wrong with my chalkboard ones, but they both did the same thing. Instead of the stamped and embossed area being what held the chalk color, the rest of the tag did and that stayed black, twice. Anyone know what to do to fix next time?

Creative Chemistry II- Day #3
Here are my tags from Day #3. Again, I am not finishing most of these as they are my samples of the techniques for my book. I have to say that I am loving this new Distress Glitter! Usually I am not a glitter girl as it is EVERYWHERE, but not this glitter!~ It is very easy to use and control. If you don't have it yet, you have to get some.

CC-#102, Day 2
Creative Chemistry 102
i am enjoying Tim's new online class Creative Chemistry #102 so very much! It is just jam-packed with wonderful tips and techniques. I won't be able to give any instructions on how to do them out of respect for Tim. But check them out and go sign up and take his classes yourself. They are so worth the money. You do have to take #101 first but that was a great class as well. Anyway here are my examples of Day #1. I tokk a couple close-ups of two of my favorites. I didn't finish my tags as I want the technique to show.

CTMH August Gathering Cards
Tonight is this month's club meeting and here are the cards I will be demoing there. I just am in love with the new paper pack Laughing Lola. The colors are so bright and fun. I found my inspiration for this one from a wonderful blog called Obsessed with Scrapbooking. I love her blog. She gives wonderful tutorials on exactly how to use the cartridges and has lots of videos to share as well. I cut it from the newest exclusive CTMH cartridge called Artbooking. There are so many cool projects waiting to be created with this one! My second card was made with this month's stamp of the month. Usually they are $17.95 or $5.00 if you spend $50, but this month if you spend $50, they are free! You can only order them during the month they are the special. Many cute chocolate images and sayings on it. I used a retired paper pack called Claire and hollyhock and saddle card-stock. It turned out really cute. The swing card is cut with the Cricut cartridge Artiste and also uses the Laughing Lola papers and lagoon and gypsy card-stock. This one is tonight's make and take project. I think they are going to love it!

My newest grandson
Reese Patrick Knight was welcomed into the world on July 28th at 2:59 a.m., weighing in at 5#10 1/4 oz., 19" long. He was anther who just couldn't wait until his due date to arrive. We sure have a history of that in this family! All went well, unlike the predictions after all the extra ultrasounds and tests that were run expecting a few bad outcomes, that, thank God were not present! He was born 40 minutes after their arrival to the hospital and just 14 minutes after I got there. My Mom and Wally's Mom were also supposed to be in the delivery room, but neither of them arrived until after he was born. He was a quickie, that's for sure! He's been losing weight since his birth and is having some trouble nursing, but has began his upward battle to gain weight. was down to 5# after he was home, but now at three weeks, he is at 5# 6 oz., so moving in the right direction again! What a peanut he is. We are calling him Mr. Buttons as he reminds us of Benjamin Button. He looks like a tiny little old man. LOL
August birthday club
I completely forgot to post the pictures of the cards I sent to the August birthday gals in the All things Tim birthday Club. I made them all the same using my Artiste cartridge from Close To My Heart and tim's papers. I so love making these flip-cards with this cartridge! Before I became a consultant and bought these exclusive cartridges, my Cricut sat there all dusty and lonely on my work table. Now, I am using it nearly every time I play at my desk! I think everyone should have received theirs by now so it's safe to show them. I die-cut the first letter of each of their names and added glossy accents to them to make a personal little embellishment for them before sending them out.

Tim's Tags- July, 2013
i have finally gotten around to making the tag for July and good thing, it's almost august! Mine didn't color up very bright and I think it's because I couldn't wait for my crackle paint to dry and used the heat gun on it. It blistered up a bit and didn't take the stain very well. it turned out ok in spite of it.
Still loving these cards
Here's the card I made for my Mom's 80th birthday. I am just loving these cards and it's so easy with the Close To My Heart Cricut cartridges that are exclusive to us. Over 700 images on a cartridge! Simply cut the pieces, fold, and adhere. It all lines up perfectly! We are having her big celebration party at the American Legion here in town tomorrow from 11-4. My husband's quartet, the Fairview Four will be singing at 1:00. It's going to be a fun day.

More flip-it cards from CTMH
I am really enjoying making these flip-it cards with the Cricut cartidges from CTMH. I have both of them and now just got the brand new to be released august 1st one. Haven't played with that one yet until I am caught up but soon! One of them has the card bases and the shapes are all on the other one that coordinate perfectly with them. All the work is done for you. No measuring or matching, simply choose your double sided paper and color to mat with and set the dials and cut, stamp, and adhere. Then add your favorite embellishments. See my business site to order yours today! Friday is our 15th anniversary and also the funeral of one of our dear friend's father. Jolene sings in my husband's quartet and has been running over to visit him every day for several months now. He has been in hospice for over 6 months and finally has let go and joined his Savior. He was well into his 90's. I used the same Pembleton paper pack to make her Sympathy card and the anniversary card for Jay. I love how both of them turned out.

Happy Birthday Marlene
Tomorrow is a good friend and co-worker's birthday. She has a very good sense of humor and always just tells it like it is. No holding back or sugar-coating with her, so I made her a funny and blunt card for her special day. I used the swing card on my lose To My Heart Cricut cartidge and some paper from the paper packs there also. Got the stamps at a convention years ago cuz I thought they were cute but never have a chance to use them really so I jumped at this opportunity. She is going to get a kick out of it I think and I know she will love the travel mug we picked up for her when we were up north this past May at a stamp convention. I bought it for myself and then looked at Nancy and we both said, "this would be perfect for Marlene." So we bought it and I have had it stashed all this time. We are both huge Wizard of Oz fans and Dorothy Hamilton as the Wicked Witch is my hero!!!

July's cards for CTMH party
This month Lori is our hostess in our Close To my Heart club. i used the current stamp of the month and the Hello Tweety set and also used my favorite background set to make my own patterned paper. I decided to try the shimmery glitter glue on my butterflies after they were done. I used some thin twine to make the bodies of the butterflies and used the copper colored glitter glue on them and the clear on the wings. Love, love, love that burlap ribbon! Our club goes thru August and then have to decide if we continue on and start over. I sure hope they all keep their memberships and wish I could get another group of 6-7 gals to join another group as well. Would love to have an online club also where you join and agree to monthly minimum order by a certain date and rotate getting the hostess benefits. It works out really great. If anyone's interested, give me a shout out or leave a comment here and your contact info.
Happy Birthday Wally

12 Tags of 2013-June
I have been trying to post this for over and hour and blogger will not cooperate with me, so fingers crossed, here goes... As it is, I waited all month to make this tag after I decided it was going to be and easy and quick one to make; but didn't meant to let the entire month slip past me. Nothing like the last minute. I wanted to go with a patriotic theme with reds, blues, and white so didn't have a lot of blending choices but used two different tones of both of them. I really liked blending the markers on the watercolor paper. Great technique Tim. Thanks!!! My background stamp is the Papillon one and is very subtle but it doesn't show up in the picture at all. I used old paper for that and then stamped the USA and Dare to Dream with aged Mahogony. Fun, quick, and easy! My kind of tag this month.
Views of my flower bed
Fighting with blogger right now and just testing to see if pics will be the right size and location. Here's a couple pics I snapped from my deck across the yard onto the fron center area of my flower bed as it is just starting to bloom this year other than the spring stuff.
