CTMH August Gathering Cards
Tonight is this month's club meeting and here are the cards I will be demoing there. I just am in love with the new paper pack Laughing Lola. The colors are so bright and fun. I found my inspiration for this one from a wonderful blog called Obsessed with Scrapbooking. I love her blog. She gives wonderful tutorials on exactly how to use the cartridges and has lots of videos to share as well. I cut it from the newest exclusive CTMH cartridge called Artbooking. There are so many cool projects waiting to be created with this one! My second card was made with this month's stamp of the month. Usually they are $17.95 or $5.00 if you spend $50, but this month if you spend $50, they are free! You can only order them during the month they are the special. Many cute chocolate images and sayings on it. I used a retired paper pack called Claire and hollyhock and saddle card-stock. It turned out really cute. The swing card is cut with the Cricut cartridge Artiste and also uses the Laughing Lola papers and lagoon and gypsy card-stock. This one is tonight's make and take project. I think they are going to love it!

My newest grandson
Reese Patrick Knight was welcomed into the world on July 28th at 2:59 a.m., weighing in at 5#10 1/4 oz., 19" long. He was anther who just couldn't wait until his due date to arrive. We sure have a history of that in this family! All went well, unlike the predictions after all the extra ultrasounds and tests that were run expecting a few bad outcomes, that, thank God were not present! He was born 40 minutes after their arrival to the hospital and just 14 minutes after I got there. My Mom and Wally's Mom were also supposed to be in the delivery room, but neither of them arrived until after he was born. He was a quickie, that's for sure! He's been losing weight since his birth and is having some trouble nursing, but has began his upward battle to gain weight. was down to 5# after he was home, but now at three weeks, he is at 5# 6 oz., so moving in the right direction again! What a peanut he is. We are calling him Mr. Buttons as he reminds us of Benjamin Button. He looks like a tiny little old man. LOL
August birthday club
I completely forgot to post the pictures of the cards I sent to the August birthday gals in the All things Tim birthday Club. I made them all the same using my Artiste cartridge from Close To My Heart and tim's papers. I so love making these flip-cards with this cartridge! Before I became a consultant and bought these exclusive cartridges, my Cricut sat there all dusty and lonely on my work table. Now, I am using it nearly every time I play at my desk! I think everyone should have received theirs by now so it's safe to show them. I die-cut the first letter of each of their names and added glossy accents to them to make a personal little embellishment for them before sending them out.
