I finally got my CCC #6 done for this week. It is found on page 66 of Tim's book and is called Mutil Medium Collage. I have had this jar of Claudine's medium for a long time and this is the first I have used it. Wow, is this nice stuff! I used an old text book that was my Dad's from his teaching or college days. I think college days because I found a treasure inside; a folded up sheet of class notes in his handwriting. I haven't seen anything he wrote in 16 years now, so this was a great find! I used chipboard die cuts of Tim's of course and wrinkle free distress for the background. Stamped the flourishes in my new fave Pumice Stone. Punched out and embossed a bird and rubbed with again, pumice stone and gave him a distress stickle eye to perch on the signpost.

How cool! I love using authentic papers like that in my work too. I think its a way better method of preserving and honoring a memory than just sticking it in a drawer.
Wonderful piece.

Kathy, this is BEYOND cool! Gorgeous colors, great Multi-Medium work... and how awesome that you used the paper from your dad's text book! That really makes this piece extra special. And what a treasure, finding his handwritten notes! This was already a "feel good" piece of art, but your lovely description makes it SUPER Feel-Good!

Thanks for that, too. I had a weird day at work, and your story made me smile.

Hugs,
Linda

Great challenge piece and what a nice surprise you found in your dads old book, you should use it in an art piece, maybe a tribute to him!

Hello Kathy,

I like the shape of your card and the use of this special dictionary paper.

You should scan in the notes of your dad and use them in your future work !

greetings from Belgium
