Here we are again, another week gone by. Wow, what a whirlwind! I combined my piece this week for the CCC and SSSS challenges this week. The CCC this week was found on page # 36 of Tim's book, called Blended Batik, and for SSSS, the challenge was to make anything inspired by the Lord Tim of Holtz. Well, my piece works for both of them since everything about is is Tim except the word stamp. What a great technique this turned out to be. I finally have this batik thing down now, thanks to these challenges. I used to have very mediocre results but you will see that it is very defined here. The coloring is very funky though as I used shabby shutters first and then Forest Moss and over-stamped with black archival. You can't see the greens very well in my picture for some reason but in real life, it's very green.

I definitely think you have this technique mastered. I love how the green looks with the black over it.

This is very pretty and will be a great addition to your other pages!
I have a problem getting the green Distress inks to photograph well sometimes. Wonder if this happens to othe people too?

Gorgeous! Yep, you have it mastered. I love this technique, and it gives me an excuse to drag out the iron, LOL.
I also had a vintage, Parisian feel to my entry. Works so well with the technique.
Love the greens!

This is wonderful. I love all the stamps you chose. It certainly is everything Tim form the stamps to the die to the technique and ink. Just briallant.

Kathy, this is stunning! The blended batik is absolutely perfect, and the images are so crisp and lovely! The colors are beautiful, too (they do look green on my monitor), and the overstamping adds so much depth. Great job, girlfriend!
